Here's a perfectly lovely implementation of the loom version of my Nouveau Flowers pattern by Dixie Gossett of dx*designs.

Here are Dixie's notes on the project:

The purse is three repeats of the pattern, sharing the borders, and the center extended somewhat to add a bit more length to the pattern. If I was to do it again, I would work some of the apricot/copper color into the middle extension to give it a better color balance. I would also make it slightly wider to better fit the purse frame.

The purse frame is from www.Lacis.com, item LS87. To finish, I glued some bias tape to the warp threads and then machine stitched with a wide and short zig zag for additional security. (Barbara Elbe talks about the gluing technique on her site, www.beadedimages.com). I then stitched the lining to the bias tape, and stitched up the sides of the lining, leaving 2" open at the top on each side to accommodate the opening of the frame. I hand stitched the bag to the frame, using the holes in the frame.
